The prestigious Spanish label Blanco Y Negro has entrusted Fred Ventura with the task of producing the first volume of the series Disco Futuro. The Cd1 collects fourteen tracks neo Italo disco and Synth-pop that best represent the contemporary European scene. The Cd2, mixed by Sergi Elias, contains the same tracks plus two bonus tracks. Fred Ventura: Federico Di Bonaventura! Disco Futuro displays a variety of stylistic content of the material, that is, will be, and perhaps will be, just a discovery. This style/scene is said to have been named by ZYX Records boss Bernhard Mikulski to market licensed releases and numerous compilations, although not always strictly Italian productions. Thus, the term is sometimes used more broadly to describe dance music from outside of Italy and from different eras and in more diverse styles.
