Remember when you were just childraen, trying to build something out of a pile of Lego bricks, and how there was always one annoying brick missing? So often we get the same feeling coming across big compilations: the attempt to remain faithful to a genre or to a label's flavour sets unnecessary borders to a world that should remain borderless. Then, when we go over all the pieces, we realize that something is missing, that one or two of them were left outside that fence.
Christian Hornbostels big success with his Species he gladly returns to Martin Eyerer and Rainer Weichholds label Kling Klong with 3 more even bigger tunes. This time it was Metodi Hristov's turn to work on a remix interpretation and the Terminal M artist from Bulgaria knew exactely how to work his studio magic.
Additional to that we have fantastic interpretations by Reto Ardour, who recently released on Poker Flat Recordings, and the danish dynamite guys Leman & Dieckmann who always deliver music on a higher level. Take our hands, follow us to the floor and dance to our dreams!
Produced during an inspired couple of days in Mallorca with Pig&Dan in January, both records are explosive techno weapons built for the peaktime and propelled by a stunning warehouse stomp.
