Successful house label with a big history. Over 45 vinyl releases and in the meantime one of the biggest digital compilation labels worldwide.
Granite State’s relationship to East Recordings label boss Pablo del Monte dates back to when they were both studying music production at Point Blank Music School; during which time they set up east London radio station and blog Brick Lane Radio. Granite State has used the years since to hone his production skills and develop an impressive body of work, which you can expect to hear over the coming year. He has also been steadily building his name as a DJ and is a resident at one of the UKs premier club nights, Regression Sessions.
Its a sublimely brooding cut with trippy percussion and an ever-evolving arpeggiated lead line building into an atmospheric breakdown, the tension developed from which is slickly released by the ensuing peak time techno drop. The track and its title draw inspiration from the closure of Studio 338 the week Granite State was due to play there, thus, denying him the opportunity to DJ at this seminal London club.
