While spending the summer season as resident at Ibizas Ushuaia Club for the ANTs events and visiting South America in heavy rotation he still found the time to put his musical inspirations in some new grooves to manifest his unique production trademark. Mathias Schober is adding an upbuilding powerful remix of Substitute taking the original into another dimension. As well as his original, globally recognised DJ and producer Doorly and Danish talent Christian Nielsen both turn out compelling remixes. Much like the monument with the same name, Monopterus is a solid construction starting off with an exposed kick that’s soon suspended by intricate melody parts, spare percussion and ethereal synths. Björn Störig tones down the drama on the remix. By focusing on the percussive line, Störig reshapes the melody, giving the track a relentless groove with major peak-time appeal.
