For a long time, the Bavarian Nightlife can’t be imagined without Shytsee. Week for week he is DJing and convincing not only because of his sophisticated technique, but also because of his sense of the crowd, choice of music and trends. He made his first experiences as a disc jockey – like most of his fellows – at private birthday parties of friends. There he realized, that he wants to show his skills in front of a bigger crowd, in more fancier locations and by means of a better technique. Soon he bought two turntables and a mixer to practice his skills day and night. Shortly afterwards, he got a look-in in some minor clubs to show his skills.
Frederik play regularly for Hed Kandi events in Amsterdam, The Hague and Rotterdam. Subsequently a residency followed at Bloomingdale beach club alongside Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano, Roog, Don Diablo, Gregor Salto and Lucien Foort. Then, thanks to the long-lasting success of the second Saturday of the month at Escape, Frederik was contracted for another residency.
Double Drop have rapidly gained a reputation as one of the most exciting new live electronic acts in London. Drawing on their love of drum and bass, dubstep, hiphop and jazz, their 7 piece live show is a perfectly constructed and passionately executed journey through these styles. Pulsating synths and tasteful delays meet live drums and acoustic pianos, overlaid by mesmerising vocals and emphatic inner city sax.
