Rappers Delight is a hip hop song released in September by The Sugarhill Gang, and produced by ex-Mickey and Sylvia member Sylvia Robinson. While it was not the first single to include rapping, it is generally considered to be the song that introduced hip hop music to audiences in the United States and around the world and the very first full-length rap song.
Best of My Love is a song by the American band The Emotions. The song was composed by Maurice White and Al McKay of Earth, Wind & Fire. Best of My Love won a Grammy at the 20th Annual Grammy Awards. Heart of Glass is a song by the American new wave band Blondie, written by singer Debbie Harry and guitarist Chris Stein. Featured on the band's third studio album, Parallel Lines, it was released as the album's third single in January and reached number one on the charts in several countries, including the United States and the United Kingdom.
