Blanco y Negro Music is the leading independent record label in Spain. Founded by Felix Buget and his brothers Luis and Jaime, with its headquarters in Barcelona it is currently one of the main references for electronic music among European labels.
Blanco y Negro record shop on Calvet street. That was the first spot where maxi disco singles - thought for DJs - started coming in. Nightclubs were booming and DJs were increasingly on demand; hence Blanco y Negro took the logical path of becoming a record label and giving Spanish Disco an outlet channel, while importing and licensing dance music that hardly reached local DJs by other means back then.
