Marking the ninth instalment of Reflections’ emerging artists series, ‘Reflections 09’ sees the debut of six brand new artists to the label. Opening the EP is esteemed London-based producer John Monkman, who presents his haunting, electronic downtempo production ’Shadows Falling (Asriel Mix)’, first heard on Anjunadeep last year. Followed by South Korean producer Dae Kim with his gentle composition ‘A Sense of Longing’, which intertwines synthesisers, guitar loops and vocal layers, submerging the listener in a warm, ambient soundscape. Exploring his ambient roots through field recordings, Scottish producer Stillhead, who featured on the earliest markings of the Reflections’ label via 'Anjunadeep presents Reflections Vol. 3’, now presents his new production ‘Chime’ to Reflections, a dark, brooding piece inspired by the sounds he recorded in Greenland.
