Its been almost two and a half years since the third 'Something From The Future' compilation, we felt it was time for a fourth album. Placing quality over quantity, these twelve diverse tracks by artists from all corners of the world cover a wide range of Bass Music styles, Garage, Dubstep, Grime and more. Nu Skool, Old Skool, and everything in between.
Garage tracks also commonly feature chopped up and time-shifted or pitch-shifted vocal samples complementing the underlying rhythmic structure. The style is typified by rapid, syncopated breakbeats, generally around 130 or 140 bpm, and often features an aggressive or jagged electronic sound. Rapping is also a significant element of the style, and lyrics often revolve around gritty depictions of urban life.
