Machine was an American funk disco group, formed by August Darnell. The group is most remembered today for their disco hit, There But for the Grace of God Go I. The group disbanded in the early 1980s, and Darnell went on to form Kid Creole and the Coconuts.
Get Down on It is a song by American band Kool & the Gang. It was originally released on their Something Special album. The single was certified Gold by the RIAA.
The song hit the top 10 of the Pop and R&B charts. It entered the UK charts in December and reached number three, their highest-charting hit in the UK at that time.
