Ken Johnson, Dennis Payne, Leo LeBlanc The California Poppy Pickers were one of several relatively anonymous studio projects assembled by Alshire label head Al Sherman to record budget-priced copycat LPs of 60s pop hits. They were helmed by producer and songwriter Gary Paxton, best-known for composing the novelty smash The Monster Mash.
Lesley Sue Goldstein was an American singer, songwriter, actress, and activist. She recorded the pop hit It's My Party, and followed it up with other hits including Judys Turn to Cry, You Dont Own M. Sister of Michael Gore with whom she composed songs. Cousin of Alan Dean Foster.
Emily Houston, formerly Garland, nee Drinkard American soul and gospel singer. Was a prolific background vocalist before becoming a solo artist. Released a handful of disco recordings as well. She is also the mother of Whitney Houston, and the aunt of Dionne Warwick and Dee Dee Warwick.
